There are still a few places left on my coaching sessions this month so get booked up before the really cold weather settles in!

Intensive coaching sessions will be running this week. The forcast looks good for Tuesday & Thu/Fri. I have some places available so please contact me to book.

I've also just been listed on Kitesurfing Coach Website!

Wind has been blowing for the last few days on the south coast. I've been pleased with the responce to my kite surfing coaching sessions so far, booking 4 lessons for March already!

Well done to Matt who during a four hour coaching session made the transition from hooked riding to un-hooked and even moved onto un-hooked backloop and down loops - showing these sessions work!

Well here in the Kent, UK we've had snow! Was hoping to get out and do some snowkiting but the wind wasn't strong enough and we called it off. Roll on spring!

This week I have been booked by two kitesurfers for a double coaching lesson at Camber Sands, Kent for 2 hours each. We have already worked on riding un-hooked and this week I hope to introduce riding un-hooked together with basic tricks such as the backloop...mastering the un-hooked backloop will be a perfect stepping stone towards more advanced moves...

I have been busy training recently, but for something quite different than kite surfing! Paul Syers and myself are currently training for the 'Las Tres Islas 'decathlon in Lanzarote. Las Tres Islas is a unique event consisting of a 2km swim a 650m/2 km climb a 72km bike, finished with a 10km sail, windsurf, kitesurf or kayakWe are both currently completing 10km on the bike, 1 mile swim and 5km run so we'll see how we get on... for more information Click here...

Since being asked by loads of people at Camber Sands, how do you do that? why can't I do this? I have spoken with Andy Gratwick (Head IKO Instructor in the UK) about me running some ADVANCED kite technique sessions for those who wish to learn top level tricks. The sessions will be ONE 2 ONE only and I WILL be pushing you to learn! If you are interested in booking a session contact me: Tony@TonyHandley.com or for more information Click here...

Copy of Email from Andy Gratick (Head IKO Instructor in the UK)

Hi Tony

Thanks for the mail. If you are helping a mate or just chatting through technique on the beach there is no real problem. (As I have no IKO Certificate)  If you start advertising it as a product/teaching session then you will come into difficulties.
The IKO instructor qualification teaches you about teaching and the ins and outs of how to do it correctly and safely, which is invaluable. It only covers the basic levels however at present and not the high end moves your practising.

Any other q’s just give me a call

Best regards
Andy
